About Sarah

Sarah Nottingham, RMTSarah Nottingham RMT graduated with honours in 2005.  Her diverse nature is shown in her practice.  Over the years, her passion for Massage Therapy and bodywork has evolved in many niche areas, including working with prenatal and postpartum population, complex TMJ disorders, and working with infants and children.  Sarah has had the pleasure of working alongside many skilled professionals in a sports medicine environment but spent most of her career in private practice serving the Bloor West Village community.   Having a long-term goal of establishing her own team of professionals inspired the creation of Ohana Wellness Clinic.  A multi-disciplinary clinic providing services for the entire family including Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Naturopathy, Counselling, and Massage Therapy.

Providing a thorough approach to care is welcomed by her patients.  Initial appointments include a detailed health history intake, assessment, and treatment.  Treatments are customized to the individual patient and their specific needs.  Homecare recommendations aide in overall progress and allow the patient to actively be involved in their recovery.

Infant Massage

Sarah has had the opportunity of studying with Dr. Tifany Field at the Touch Research Institute in Miami, Florida.  The focus of this workshop was concentrated on research protocols for Infant Massage Therapy.  Sarah had hand-ons experience providing massage therapy to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Holtz Children’s Hospital, treating mostly premature infants.

In practice, Sarah utilizes Massage Therapy and CranioSacral techniques when treating infants.  This combined therapy is beneficial in treating difficulties in movement (torticollis), persistent fussiness, upset digestion, etc.

Sarah is also certified as an infant massage teacher with the LiddleKidz Foundation.  Providing workshops to Moms, Dads, and caregivers on how to give their baby a relaxing massage.

Outside of the clinic, Sarah enjoys travelling, remaining active, gardening, and enjoying the outdoors with her husband and children.

Sarah is a current member is good standing with the Ontario Massage Therapists Association and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
